Q. WHAT ARE THE GOALS FOR THIS EVENT?
The goal is to bring Jewish children of elementary and middle school ages together from every point on the Jewish spectrum for a day of unity, fun, and creativity. We're all part of the same colorful Jewish family and challah is the easiest way to get everyone noshing at the same table.
Q. WHO IS BEHIND THIS PROJECT?
This is a project of the entire community including: Jewish Federation's PJ Library, the Siegel JCC, Albert Einstein Academy, CTeen, BBYO, Chabad of Delaware, Congregation Beth Shalom, Congregation Beth Emeth, Temple Beth El, and Adas Kodesch Shel Emeth!Â
Q. WHAT WILL MY CHILD BE DOING?
Your child will be participating in a fun interactive program of making and braiding challah dough as well as a game show and music while the dough is rising.
Q. WHAT AGES IS THIS EVENT GEARED FOR?
This event is for children 3 years old though 8th grade (Ages 3 - 14). A chaperone is required for children in up to 3rd grade. Parents are welcome for children of all ages! The program will cater to all ages, with a special PJ Library and AEAÂ Challah program for 3-6 year olds during the event!
Q. WILL FOOD BE SERVED?
Yes. There will be a break with snacks (including gluten free options) as well as juices and bottled water. All food products are strictly Kosher.
Q. WHAT WILL MY CHILD BE BRINGING HOME?
2 braided loaves of challah in a pan with an option of two toppings to go on top. There will be clear baking instructions attached to the cover on their pans so that you can have delicious challah to share with your family. Please have your child share one of the challahs with a person in need. Your child will also bring home their own Mega Challah Bake for KIDS apron and chef hat!
Q. HOW MANY PEOPLE PER TABLE?
Every table will have 10 kids per table along with their chaperones. Each table will also have a table captain who will assist the kids in participating in the activities
Q. WILL THERE BE RESERVED TABLES?
Yes. Once you check in you will be given a table number where you will be seated. Please include the names of the people that you are coming with and we will assign you to be together. People coming at the door are not guaranteed their seating preference.

Doors open at 1:30 pm
Q. WHAT TIME DOES THE ACTUAL PROGRAM BEGIN?
The program will begin at 2:00pm promptly
Q. IS THIS EVENT NUT FREE?Â
Yes this event will be nut free.
Q. Who is the raffle benefitting?
The proceeds of the raffle will go towards covering the costs of this program. If there is any profit from the raffle, it will cover the baking of additional challahs to be donated to local organizations such as the Jewish Family Services, Ronald McDonald House, and the Delaware Homeless Shelter.
